Our family came from
the ocean and the earth, passionate lovers for nature.
Third generation live and raise on the Galapagos Islands, our experience comes from tradition, memories, self learn and the power of curiosity. We are a family team that works hard to share with people all over the world a true experience at the Galapagos Islands, the roots of our home.
The first member of our family living in the Galapagos island arrive by boat, our grand grand father "Juan Salgado", he was a nurse on the marine ships.
He met Ercilia on Floreana island, they felt in love and had 2 childrens, my grandmother Cecilia and Emperatriz, two girls born and raised on the archipelago.
Cecilia was an earth lover, always in touch with the nature, the agriculture becomes her passion and with the past of the years she met my Grand father "Maximo" a fisherman.
They had three lovely kids, Peter, Max and Maribel. They use to live on Floreana islands were the population was less than 50 persons, without electricity, internet and none technology.
Peter was a self learner, since he was a kid, he was curios, to be honest he still curios for nature, there are some thing than never change, a true explorer. When Peter was studying the university on mainland he met Rossy, they became friends for several years and some time later they get married and have me "Hans Peter Jr" and my sister Astrid.
Our background as a team its based on our personal growth, social experience and also fantastic memories exploring around the islands, everyone of the family has an unique connection. Our team is strong, we had learn how to adapt on life and every step as a new challenge.
Our teams its conformed by naturalist guides, surfers, accountable, designers, photographers, divers, gardener, environmentalists.

Peter Freire, 51
A leader, the head of our family, an environmentalist, a photographer, a naturalist guide and dive instructor.
He learn english with books and old cassettes, listening and repeating, his dad bought him the books with savings from fishing. He always was an autodidact in an age were education was difficult to access. At the actual moment he has more than 30 years guiding and exploring the archipelago, also, was invited to the States to brief some lectures at Universities about Galapagos. He still exploring and sharing him experience and knowledge with many guest around the year, because that what he loves.
Hans Freire, 28
Born and raised on the Galapagos islands, Hans has a special connection with the nature, he loves to explore and share experiences. He studied international business and his main passions are photography, filming and surfing, he start to make footage on the archipelago at the age of twelve years old and since then he has record memorable moments on special places of Galapagos.
Brandon Zambrano, 22
Brandon is a passionate graphic designer with a keen interest in technology. He recently started his career exploring various areas of creativity such as: 3D design, video editing and photography. Self learner that has expanded his skills through the special love for the Galapagos Islands.
Gloria Trejo, 48
Gloria has lived in many cities of Ecuador since she was a child, always loving the travel and the experience from cultures. On our team Gloria its uncharged of operations and quality services, always thinking about the experiences beyond the routine.
Astrid Freire, 25
A guide, a mom, an entrepreneur, an old champion surfer on the local circuit.
Astrid is an idealist, always seeking for the common good, at the actual moment she is the president of the Galapagos Naturalist Guides Association (AGNG). She was studying biology on the university, that was her love, the understanding about nature, always reading and analyzing the different natural process. For major reason she had to stop her career and as a coincidence the Galapagos Naturalist guides was open, so she take the shot. On the training course she share with Peter and more guides from the village gratetful and enriching moments that make her to become the leader that she is now, strong and persevering.
Rossy Trejo, 51
Rossy its the base of our family and team, the pillars that keep us dreaming, she is the representation of resilience and perseverance. Rossy has more than 28 years experience working in tourism, hospitality and accountings.
