TUNNELS: THE LAVA BRIDGES
The Tunnels, one of the most amazing snorkeling sites in the Galapagos, unfold like a natural maze where geology shows off its most unexpected art. There, ancient lava rivers met the ocean, creating craters, volcanic tubes and stone arches that today form an almost fantastic scenario. Walking through this place, the visitor disembarks in a landscape that seems sculpted by primordial forces and is greeted by blue-footed piqueros and other coastal birds nesting among the rocks.
Under the water, the show continues: sea turtles moving serenely, schools of multicolored fish that move like a single organism, white-tipped reef sharks gliding silently, and even penguins, manta rays and sea lions that complete this underwater symphony. Hopefully, a seahorse can be seen among the corals that decorate the seabed, remembering that every corner is a world to discover. This is a destination where exploration is lived with wonder, breathing the primitive energy that shaped the islands.
